Lanvin is ticking all the boxes

No matter what people are staying and how fashionable bloggers are showing us their daily attire, everyone is hurting.  We don't want to see celebrities dripping in their gowns wearing the latest and greatest.  What do the people want???
People we can relate to, Lanvin is honing right into this area and it is hugely successful.
Lanvin is not showing us couture beyond the reach of us, but what is real and what real people are feeling comfortable with.
Although we cannot get enough of Daphne in her Dior a licious cat wearing advert, let us all get real and understand that fashion is about expression.  We have lost the lust to look like these adorable models, but we are all wanting to just be us in clothes that expresses us.

We don't want to be anyone else anymore, the dream of being stigmatized into fitting a stereotypical model of airbrushed and perfection is now over.  More than ever we want to represent ourselves and express ourselves and be heard.

I do talk allot, but my aim is not to always talk, but to listen.  I talk to many women on track and just in normal surrounds.  This is how I can relate to the public through extending my listening into these words.

We are all making a difference.  Now in the world of advertising, we don't want to be the clone.  Lanvin you are brilliant and you are listening to a market and a world that is in financial despair.  Instead of trying to give us the dream to be the illustrious vixen, we are happy with who we are, we just want to represent ourselves in our own style.  Thank you for listening Lanvin, a big risk, but now everyone is listening to you.

GFC, big traders say NO to Advertise!

As we are currently hit hard in the Global Financial Crisis, retail is struggling. The rag trade is not doing well and the stores have the competition of cheap online labels, with no gst and sales tax, not to mention overheads of staff, rent, shopfitting, electricity and more.

Recently I have been invited to the exclusive parade of Carla Zampatti in her home and then given invitation to Perri Cutten to peruse their Spring Carnival range and understand their interpretation of this season.

Racing Fashion Australia (website) was formed over 5 years ago with very loyal support from very few sponsors and any people have helped me of which I have given them free advertising.

The larger rag traders have now approached me for editorial advertising on my site and to use images of garments to entice the Racing Fashion public.
I am always happy to help, so I say sure send me through an email and I will look to see if the range is suitable and help with a story.
Over the past 5 years, free advertising has been given and now even my personal Facebook page has become prime advertising position.

When I talk about the labels, I will not mention the name, but I then asked if they would care as a gesture for a ridiculously cheap advert and their answer was, they don't advertise. This seems strange to me, that someone would want to use an area of space which has 8000-12,000 hits a week and during Spring Carnival last year exceeded 30,000 hits per week.

I run my business at a huge loss, but my mission is to gain awareness to fashion and what ALL women want to wear. Women are not one shape or size and we want choice. Just because we have children and we mature does not mean we don't still want to feel fabulous.

I am so happy to promote the people who help believe in my vision that the fashion at the track will never die, and this does not just mean 'Fashions on the Field'. My vision is to celebrate all people heading to the track, male and female, feeling wonderful in what they are doing and heading for a great day out.

This year is going to showcase the best of Racing Fashion on Racing Fashion TV and the next season is going to ruffle the feathers in the 'Birdcage' as Racing Fashion goes Haute. Special Guest Co-Host??????

I will always promote the products I love, fashion forecast, Australian Fashion, and what I think is fabulous.

My Husband is Furious! New Host of Racing Fashion TV, an ex gay HUSBAND!!!

It is almost here, Racing Fashion TV Season 4, 'Behind the Sash'.  There have been allot of rumors and the secret is out, well out of the closet, after Season 4 or Racing Fashion TV airs in September,  Series 5 begins filming.
'Hard Luck Motty' is furious to hear that I have an ex gay husband (husband's) stepping out of the closet and going to gleam in the limelight.  'Hard Luck Motty' has been working on his tips to very little avail in the restaurants around the country only to hear that his wife is going to be frolicking the 'Fashions on the Field' circuit and birdcage and marquees with her 'Out of the Closet' ex.
Say it is not so!!!!!!
Oh, yes,

Season 4 of Racing Fashion TV, 'Behind the Sash', was approached to go mainstream but producers are happy with the current format of fashion and non script.
We are interviewing the latest and greatest celebrities, but most of all we are interviewing YOU!  Yes, we went back stage, 'Behind the Sash', to see what goes on backstage.  The winning, the tears, the random moments.

This September stay tuned to your local community TV station across the Eastern Sea Board of Australia, because we have blinged up hats worth $1,000,000.
Interviews with Philip Treacy, Gai Waterhouse and Kate Page and many more.
There will be wearing of 'The worlds biggest Hat', Petal Throwing, theft of a Mumm Magnum of Champagne and random acts of wackiness.

This is Australian Racing at its most fashionable and fun so stay tuned.  Coming in September.

Who is my Gay ex Husband????????????

Racing Fashion Starts Here

With Spring Racing Carnival just around the corner, one thing is for sure.  Where Racing Fashion starts is the die hard members of Flemington.  When you walk through the members you see amazing hats and outfits sure to be Sunday's best walking the worlds most famous course.
Fashions on the Field is coming and this is where we see the more Haute Couture and theatrical pieces, but members have this art down to a fine masterpiece.
This is allot where I muse my fashions as allot of the 'Terrace' resident tables are ahead of the fashion pack.  They are mature and not always under the age of 40, but their grooming, manner and elegance is splendid.  The look is always clean and neat without a hair out of place.  One would think it would be a little hoity toity, but in all honesty, The Terrace and The Members of Flemington are like big Racing Family.
The Terrace also hosts Racing Royalty such as Bart Cummings and Gai Waterhouse during Spring Carnival.

Arthur Galan Charcoal Fedora, Sportsgirl Necklace.

Collete Clutch and Sportsgirl Ring

Dolce and Gabbana earrings.

Thought I would spoil myself with the top shelf of Mumm as I will be absent from the races for a month or two.

Afternoon tea, if you are not full, have the wonderful party pies, sausage rolls and quiches.  Not to mention Scones Jam and Cream.

Melbourne, hardly seen at the end of the day with showers coming.  Started a heavy 8 then downgraded to 7.
