Let
us face the honest truth, I have hurt people and sometimes
unintentionally, and people have hurt me. We all cry and all hurt.
Yesterday
at Blue Diamond when arriving at the course I had thought that I had
repaired some friendships that may have been damaged or made peace
with people that may have at some time seen a different point of view
to me or I may have hurt.
What
ever goes on in our lives should not be spoken about for gossip or
entertainment. I probably to have a more public profile than most in this forum,
but something I do not wish to partake in is idle gossip or judging
people on nonsense. In most cases with friends you have falling outs
and come back together, this can make many relationships and
friendships stronger. In some cases, I have approached people on an
individual basis, and I did not enter a conversation of who is wrong
or right, just simply can we go on, repair this or just conclude that
we will go forward in the same places, but just be in the same place
and enjoy without any negativity. In most cases I have been lucky
where people and I come together and then we find common ground and
build.
I
am not in the habit of pointing finger or mentioning names and I
refuse to, as I will not put fuel on a fire. Recently I have been
indulging in going interstate to judge meet new people and understand
different communities and not participated in Melbourne since Spring Racing Carnival. A group of approximately 10-15 people
standing in a circle telling each other how many flaws I have is not
just mean and nasty it is pathetic. I thank some people who walked
away and did not want to participate in gossip and others stood and
told me of this ridiculousness. In many instances I have had to stand
ground for my own reasons, when recently another mention of Melbourne
Cup Carnival gossip came to my attention, I had to defend myself.
Many times I may write about a situation but in most cases it has
nothing to do with someone reading themselves into a situation.
Unfortunately
yesterday we heard of the untimely passing of Charlotte Dawson who
was a figure head in the social, fashion and modelling world. When I
looked around and saw the destruction of what social media and
bullying can do I was truly saddened. This was not just the fact
that I had been singled out to be the victim for the day, it was the
fact that someone had ended their life because of bullying and
hatred. This is disgusting and beyond childish. I have a 3 and 5
year old that are learning about how to interact with others and show
tolerance and respect.
As
far as I am concerned, anyone who takes so much delight in bringing
down and gossiping about other people should take a really big look
in the mirror. Yes, I was hurt and I was upset, but in being upset I
thought how can I make this better. I will not fuel the bullies and
even mention who they are, it is pathetic for adults to act in such a
manner. I am quite OK with the person I am, but if you are so
interested in what I am doing, take a look in the mirror. I may not
be the person you dislike, maybe I am an excuse for gossip to attract
your attention from each other and your own being.
I
will continue to showcase everyone at the Racecourse and Fashions on
the Field, and I will not be mentally terrorised by small minded
people. I will purposely be their for competitors who are up and
coming and want to be a part of Fashions on the Field. It is not all
about a nasty group of people. I want all to feel welcomed and able
to make friendships and enjoy the way they dress to take away the
stress of the world, not adding to it.
Let
us welcome ALL! No one is better than another and we are all the
same. We hurt the same, we are happy the same, don't you think it
would be a much more nicer place if you stopped idle gossip of
someone their not to defend themselves. Really those people have
zero morals, POOR CHARACTER!!!
Anyway,
as usual I want to showcase what looking and feeling fantastic a the
Australian Racecourse is like, there are going to be ALL competitors on my
site and I will not discriminate, regardless to how they
treat me or their personality, their smiles may simply be masks.
