Fashions on the Field Melbourne Cup Day, Get Your Spring on Here

With Spring Racing Carnival creeping around the corner, here are some of the images from last year from our official photographer. Racing Fashion loves fashions on the field, but more we love you feeling fabulous in your own skin. Every woman has the right to feel fantastic, frock up, rock up and have a go at Fashions on the Field. It is an Australian right. Furthermore the judges at every competition look for something different. When I judge, I look at ease, confidence and basically the whole package of the person with age, size and shape not being a defining factor. Everything should be beautifully balanced and equally as beautiful should be the competitors heart.

Racing Fashion Reflections of Derby Day

I have taken a very well deserved week off my Tech head world and headed for my Villa in Far North Queensland where the rain forest meets the sea. I do say that I am totally blessed to have all I do in my life, but believe me I have worked Bl))dy hard for it. Once upon a time, I had to use all my money to pay for hospital expenses and medical bills. I had no money, no home and only my family. Everyone looks at me and thinks that I lead a blessed life which is true. The blessing being my family and the love that I share. It is simply I have worked my rear end off to have all I have and will never give up. In saying that, my tech detox did last a little longer with family member in hospital with back operations, having another family member live with us (and welcomed with open arms) as well as my son having a staph infection that is demanding antibiotics neat and oral. Another handful of images has presented to me through our new photographer for Carnival Emma, so if you see her on track please welcome her. I love seeing what every photographer can capture through their eyes. Be well and I am slowly editing all images for the main site, www.racingfashion.com.au, but it is allot of work. Racing Fashion at Beautiful Girls Fashions Luncheon and Some Famous Faces

Today is one of my favourite day, it is mum and me day. I have a whole 3 hours besides shooting the parade of talking girl stuff with my mum without children screaming, and with ladies who love to dress up and have a great day out. I am yet to give the Myer Runway Race Wear Report, but it is mainly opaque hosiery and tones, few colours, but when they are on, they pop.
It was fabulous to see the Millinery Award Winner from last year, 'ANISS' take over the stage in every way and make everyone's jaw drop with her stand alone Millienry. I take nothing away from the designers and other Milliners on parade, but WOW! When we want to bring Millinery forward to now and beyond, this lady is doing the job beautifully.
Every year I come to the 'Beautiful Girls Luncheon at Flemington', I see an increase of headwear and ladies all ages, sizes and shapes looking fantastic.
I love the friendships that I have gained over the years with different ladies I have sat at the table with and forging new friendships. So happy to share a lovely day with my mum at the races. This is what Racing Fashion is all about. Not all Fashions on the Field but enjoying with people who love horses, the races and feeling fantastic. Thank you all for a great day.
