Racing Fashion calms megabytes at 'The Peninsula Hotel' Hong Kong

Arriving on my first trip to Hong Kong, my husband presents me to 'The Peninsula'. I have traveled many times before and mostly my stop over would be in Singapore and staying at 'Raffles', (previously, my favourite hotel) or 'Ritz Carlton, Singapore'. Both amazing hotels.
After hopping of a flight from Melbourne and I loathe flying as I hate sitting still for such a long time and jet lag, being presented with luxury and the idea of being pampered made me feel a little better. There is currently a typhoon and it is raining and terrible weather. I don't care, I am just relishing in the decadence of long hot baths, swanning around a luxurious Pool and not hearing a cry from any part of the house.
Mother guilt does set in although, this is my time. 5 years, my husband and I have not been alone. I am walking at snails pace everywhere and taking advantage of reading books and meditation. To sit and be at ones self without any hesitation is a wonderful blessing and many take for granted. Many people like to be among friends and I love meeting new people, but now it is me time. I am breathing and I feel myself surrounding myself with wellness and happiness.
I enjoy being around beautiful things and I appreciate them although they will not define the person I am. This is simply a luxury and to be surrounded by the decadence on a daily basis would make you complacent and unable to 'zen' your inner drive.
Nameste to all.
Luxury and beautiful surroundings are opulent and decadent and in some cases obscene but if you can sit and take in the beauty and appreciation and be able to leave, you have learnt a lesson.

An Adventure of unleashing our cyber selves.
My Husband and I during this trip have kept all phones and technologies away from our dining.

This has allowed fabulous communication like our first dates and enjoying the art that is dying, 'Conversation'.

Being POSH!!!

People who know me, or even have just met me, they know I cannot control excitement and I don't want to either.  Something I love is life and living it.  My mother is beautiful, but she tries very hard to keep me acting like a lady and I am sure she would love it if I was a little bit Posh, or even snobby.
I just cannot do it, everyone is always so much fun that I just want to join in like a puppy on the beach.  Why not I say!  Once you grow up, there are not many reasons to get really excited, where I look at my children and they are seeing everything for the first time.  Blowing bubbles is exciting, balloons are fun, getting messy, anything is fun.  Usually when I get big new, before I sign contracts, look in to things or think rationally, I warn everyone around me, "Don't burst my bubble today!", I give myself a day of thinking like a child and toying with fun ideas of something fabulous.  I ring up all my good friends and tell them the news, and they know I am just going through one of my exciting little moments, even if it works out or not.
I wish I could be a little bit posh or snobby, but really, I just like talking to lots of people, because lots of people love to be heard.  Next time you hear something fabulous, just go with it for a day, don't let anyone talk to you rationally and fly high, it is a fabulous feeling and it makes you remember how much fun it is to build sandcastles.

I really think in the nicest possible way, Victoria Beckham is the best coat hanger!

I just could not stand around that long and not smile, or move quickly, or have that figure.
But please take note, I have seen pictures of her smiling, and recently her talking!!!

Philip Treacy Hats from the Royal Wedding

Everything about Philip Treacy's hats epitomises style and distinction.  Did it really have to take a royal wedding for everyone to get onto the band wagon of hat wearing???  Well in my circles, No!
This was a huge coup for millinery and hat making and we could not be more pleased.  Personally I loved Princess Beatrice's hat, I thought it was brilliant.

Let us embrace hat making and millinery in the year 2012 and wear a hat today, it will make you feel better.
