Emirate Stakes Day is always known to
be the most relaxed day of the carnival and even though Racing
Fashion TV is still taping and snapping, we do notice a more
nonchalant crowd with less who is who and more relaxed punters.
The clothes are more demure and it is
really a wrap up from a hectic week of hats, fashion and everyone
relaxes and simply enjoys.
Derby, Cup and Oaks are really the
'Fashion' days and Demi Brereton kindly takes over in the 'Under 18'
so I can soak up some slowing down enjoyment after the Rat Race of
previous days.
The Myer Marquee was so much more
relaxed than other days and as usual we do most of our marquee
hopping on Emirates stakes day.
Myer hosted great Australian
Hospitality with a mild French influence with the Mumm Champagne, but
was rustic as a wool shed ready for shearing.
I love being a fly on the wall the last
