Lets face it, when it comes to me and talking about my passions of hats and everything that is now 'Racing Fashion' I become overwhelmed with wanting to see new things and wanting this industry to push boundaries. I have had a slipped disc, just as I am about to head on a massive flight to London for Royal Ascot, but I am inspired to show you this amazing talent of a new comer. Watch this space and the name because this is fashion forward and an exciting point of view. Maiko Takeda is doing exactly what Philip Treacy is talking about with hats and taking hats to a new level and making them modern. I am totally in love with these images and I can only wish Maiko every success. Looking at the work of someone so young, this is a great talent to be nurtured. This is brilliance on so many levels.

Amazing - absolutely amazing. I love also the deconstructed look thats coming with hats but yes I agree she is one to "Watch" . I love the one that looks like a caterpillar grub wrapped around the head although the split "princess Lei" one gives you room for champas and a nibble.. great information Anna have a safe trip xo hugs
